When our members first came together almost 15 years ago, it was to partner on goals that no one group could tackle alone, like ending mountaintop removal and traveling to DC to take direct action. Since then, we have continued to promote a healthy, just Appalachia in communities impacted by destructive resource extraction.
We know the importance of building relationships with our representatives and other people making decisions for our communities, and we know that we should be at the table. In 2021, we’ll be meeting with members of Congress and agency representatives to demand federal funding to reclaim abandoned mines, pass environmental justice legislation, and ensure communities across the region have access to clean water.
From January 18th – 29th, we will be hosting an online auction to celebrate our 15th years! We couldn’t do this work without the support of our communities. Check it out!
We are a fiscally sponsored organization. Your donations are 100% tax-deductible and supporting your community in the process. For every $500 we raise, an Alliance member can attend a multi-day DC trip to speak with their representatives.
